Hoe het begon…

Mijn hele leven al ben ik gek op stofjes. Terugkijkend had ik iets in het textielvak moeten doen zoals meubelstoffeerder worden.…echter dromen vergaan niet. Tijdens één van mijn verre reizen werd ik op slag verliefd op handbedrukte blokprintstoffen. De eeuwenoude ambacht en het culturele aspect van de dessins maken deze producten uniek. De onregelmatigheden in de patronen passen precies bij de manier waarop ik wil leven en wonen. De schoonheid zit in de imperfectie!

Patronen met een rijke historie

Per toeval ontmoette ik Indu Kapalhi. Toen ik haar ontwerpen en zachte katoenen stoffen zag wist ik: dit is het begin van Rozablue! Indu is een bijzondere en artistieke vrouw. Zij haalt haar inspiratie uit de rijke Indiase textielcultuur, flora, fauna, tempels en paleizen in India. Op een stijlvolle manier ontwerpt zij dessins en patronen waar ze houten stempels van laat maken om mee te stempelen.

Rozablue, de naam zegt het al!

Indu’s dessins combineer ik met eigentijdse interieur- en lifestyleproducten in de kleurrijke tinten roza & blue. Deze kleuren zijn de ‘rode draad’ in mijn collectie. Ze zijn geïnspireerd op de felle vrolijke kleuren die je overal tegenkomt op straat in India. Kleuren waar ik blij van word, die van je huis een thuis maken!

Eerlijk en met liefde gemaakt

Alles wordt op een fairtrade wijze handgemaakt door vakmensen: kussens, luxe beddengoed, vrolijke strandtassen, kleurrijke tafellakens en warme quilts. Blokprinten is de mooiste vorm van creativiteit. De blokprinters werken met veel toewijding en precisie. Door de verkoop van deze producten ondersteunt Rozablue de werknemers en hun families en blijft deze ambacht voortbestaan.

How it started?

I’ve been crazy about fabrics all my life. Looking back, I should have done something in the textile business, such as becoming a furniture upholsterer …. but dreams do not go away. During one of my journeys, I fell in love with hand-printed block print fabrics. The ancient tradition and cultural aspect of the designs make these products unique. The irregularities in the patterns match the way I want to live. Beautiful in detail and imperfection!

By chance, my path crossed Indu Kapalhi. When I saw her designs and soft cotton fabrics I knew: this is the beginning of Rozablue! Indu is an artist at heart and gets her inspiration from flowers, patterns, wall paintings from ancient temples and palaces in India. She redesigns them in a modern and stylish way. The designs are carved in wooden blocks and printed on good quality cotton fabrics. I combine Indu’s designs with interior and lifestyle products in the colorful shades of roza & blue. They are inspired by the bright cheerful colors that you see everywhere in the streets in India. I love these colors, they make your house a home!
